Recent Photography Work

I’ve done quite a bit of photography recently even though I haven’t updated this site much. On Sunday I took portraits of the Moothart family at a nearby park. The active boys were definitely a challenge, but very fun at the same time.

A couple months back I helped Heather Fuqua shoot a wedding down in San Diego.

In July I took photos for a news story about Hollywood’s 20th Century Props and owner Harvey Schwartz.

The latest issue of The Seed Company’s Seedlinks publication features more of my photos as well (including the cover shot).

Finally, I’ve been posting quite regularly to the FOCUS photo blog.

Greg Peters’ Ordination

Last week was a busy one for photography, as I also shot photos at the ordination of Greg Peters at Blessed Sacrament Church. The low light is always a challenge, but at the same time it’s a beautiful church so that makes it rewarding.

TSC Portraits

Last week Jeff Silzer and I setup our gear in someone’s house to shoot formal portraits for The Seed Company board and leadership team. I think the shots came out great, and it was a good experience especially since I haven’t done much with studio lighting before.

India Photojournalism Trip

In November 2008 I took a 2-week photojournalism trip to India in conjunction with The Seed Company. Most of the photos are not available publicly, but I posted some to my personal site.

Turkey Photo Assignment

In August 2008 I did a week photo assignment in Turkey with my wife. Although I am unable to share most of the material from this trip online, I did post a couple photos here: Silent Sunrise, Turkish man, and Passport Salesman (actually this last one was taken in Amman Jordan on the way back).

Nick Family Portraits

After many attempts at working out a time to take a Christmas portrait for the Nicks, we managed to quickly take some photos after church last week. I am pleased with how they came out. Thanks to my brother Andy for holding the reflector, and Katie for helping pose them.
